Welcome
Ministry at Zion
Zion's
Welcome Ministries encourage us to introduce others to our faith
and provide both members and guests with an inspiring initial experience
within our Christian community. We hope that welcome is evident
in both word and deed as we invite our friends to church, extend
hospitality to guests, and welcome all to active membership at Zion.

New Disciple Orientation Classes
You do not need to be a member of Zion to participate in most of the ministry opportunities we make available. If membership into Zion is what you are seeking, we offer new disciple orientation every quarter; January, April, July, and October. These classes consist of three sessions, one and half hours in length each.
This is where new relationships begin. Meet the staff as they personally introduce themselves and their areas of ministry, receive essential catechetical instruction, and find out all that Zion has to offer you as we explore what it means to “Know Christ, Grow in Christ, Make Christ Known.” All are Welcome! Come join us!
Greeters
Initial impressions mean a lot to visitors. Greeters are those people who can put a sincere smile on and welcome all of God’s people into this place of worship. You do not need to know all the people who come through the doors, just possess a willingness to say hi to each of them that will make the visitor know they truly are welcome here at Zion.
Ushers
Ushers are those who serve as part of the worship leadership. Ushers make certain that all who are worshiping are equipped to do so, with bulletins, and always being at the ready to serve God’s people during worship.
Welcome Desk
Be sure to stop by our new Welcome Desk when you visit. Our attendants, be they families, individuals, couples, or anyone who can smile and greet people are there to guide you through your worship and Christian Education experience. Be sure to pick up our First-time Visitor Folder when you come.
Nursery
Zion offers nursery care at two of the three worship services, the 9:30 and the 11:00 services. We have a full-time nursery attendant who may well invite you to assist if the ratio gets too large for one person.
Fellowship Hosts
Every Sunday, we are looking for families, small groups, individuals, couples, to host coffee and cookies. You can sign-up any Sunday in the coffee area of the Welcome Center. You don’t have to know how to make coffee, just keep the cookies coming and the coffee flowing.
